There is nothing quite like warm butter and honey on toast. We are all about elevating the ordinary, even when it comes to flavours - even the humble honey on toast. Try this simple and delicious recipe for Sage Honey Butter.

Ingredients

8 tablespoons salted butter
4 tablespoons honey
Handful of fresh sage

Method

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over a medium head. As it begins to bubble, add the fresh sage and increase the heat until you can hear the leaves sizzling. Continue to cook until the butter begins to turn golden and remove from the heat.

Strain the melted butter through a fine mesh sieve in to small jar or container. Discard the sage leaves.

Stir the honey into the butter and place in the fridge. Stir again in a few hours to make sure the honey has not settled to the bottom. Keep in the fridge and serve with a pinch of sea salt with a toast or Autumn pumpkin bread.
